Fenn Agritech is a fictional company. This site is operated by Drea Wichman, who acts as the data controller for any personal data collected. This policy aligns with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal data this site collects

This site is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. It uses no cookies and no tracking technologies. Local browser storage is used only to remember UI preferences (such as dismissed welcome notices). The following limited personal data may be processed:

  • Server logs. GitHub Pages automatically records your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamp for security and abuse prevention. The site owner does not access these logs. See GitHub's Privacy Statement for details.
  • Voluntary contact. If you contact the site owner through email, LinkedIn, or GitHub, your message and contact details are received and stored in the relevant inbox or platform.

Purpose and legal basis

  • Server logs: processed by GitHub Pages for security and abuse prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in operating a secure site.
  • Voluntary contact: processed by the site owner to read and respond to messages. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in handling correspondence.

Who this data is shared with

The site owner does not share personal data with third parties. The only parties that may process data in connection with this site are:

  • GitHub, Inc. (US): hosts the site and processes server logs.
  • Proton AG (Switzerland): provides the email inbox.
  • LinkedIn and GitHub (if used for contact): process messages per their own privacy policies.

International data transfers

GitHub (US): transfers covered by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Proton (Switzerland): the UK has recognised Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection.

How long data is retained

  • Server logs: per GitHub's data retention policy.
  • Voluntary contact: kept only as long as needed to respond, typically no more than 24 months. Messages are deleted after that unless there's an ongoing reason to keep them.

Your rights

If your personal data is processed in connection with this site, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your data
  • Have it corrected or deleted
  • Object to or restrict its processing
  • Receive it in a portable format (where applicable)
